About Terry

Born a military brat to a Canadian fighter pilot who was training with the top guns in Maryland at the time, I grew up on the move.  Two years here, three there.  I went to school in Canada, England, Germany, and Belgium, got a double major in English and Psychology at the University of Toronto, then a law degree from the venerable Osgoode Hall Law School.  I won the Trial Practice Award for my graduating year.  After articling with a Toronto litigation firm for a year and getting called to the Bar, I left law to become an actor, writer, and public speaker.

Somewhere in there, I learned how to sky-dive, scuba dive, competitive swim, ski double-black runs on snow, slalom and wakeboard on water, do karate and grymnastics, jazz dance, shoot guns, and do a fliffis and a double-back somersault on the trampoline.

Then I got married and had kids.

Now I mostly write about other people doing that kind of stuff, though I've still got a list of physical things I have to try before my body gives out on me.  In the meantime, I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth - North Vancouver, British Columbia.  I'm married to a brilliant lawyer who is constantly pushing to make the law do the right thing.  And I'm raising a girl who wants to do high jump in the Olympics, and a boy who wants to play the drums so fast his hands become a blur.

So the dog barks at people passing by our house.  The cat hisses at him.  My computer hums.  I type...
